I don’t know about you, but the process of searching for a job is grueling. You start out maybe a little bit excited – all the possibility! But then when the generic rejection emails start getting into the double digits, it feels like being slapped in the face. I was really hoping to find a service that would help match me to a position in technology, which is how I stumbled upon Hired.
Now this isn’t just a service where you upload your details and then have to hunt through a list of recommendations. With Hired, you don’t see the jobs at all. The companies see you and then send interview requests. This is a set it and forget it kind of job platform.
Now I’ll be upfront, I have my resume on Hired and they have a referral program. So if you decide to make a profile by clicking the link below and then actually find your next job on Hired, I’ll get a bonus from it. If that’s cool with you, here’s a link to the site: Get Started with Hired. Then you can do the same with your friends.
What makes Hired different?
Hired uses a combination of AI matching and (what they call) human empathy to connect job seekers with prospective employers. Their matching algorithm doesn’t seem to require any more from you than normal: a resume, photo, links to your portfolio, and if you’re an overachiever, recommendations.
Then companies will apply to you. That’s the real difference-maker here. Then you can say yes to interviewing with them. Plus, these companies are NOT like the so-called “requests” you get from other job sites like Indeed and CareerBuilder…these are generally larger companies. They’re paying to use Hired, so they are a bit more serious.
